In this role, you will lead a diverse and engaged team to develop and maintain relationships with our clients, partners, and employees. You will self-perform and direct project teams in the planning and design of structures projects. This role is fast-paced, for the seller-doer who can rise quickly to action, is resilient, and adaptable. The successful candidate will be an experienced professional that we can build an office around, one who is effective at balancing technical project management, business development, and people.
What we design:
a wide variety of building structures utilizing concrete, steel, masonry, and wood construction. Structures include but are not limited to: commercial office buildings, multi-story residential developments, multi-story storage buildings, public sector buildings, and more.
Requirements:
B.S. Civil Engineering; M.S degree preferred
P.E. license DC/MD/VA
Must have a minimum of 15 years' advanced knowledge and experience in the design of multi-story buildings at structural consulting firm(s), and 10 years as a Principal Engineer or Senior Manager of a Structural Design firm.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience in design using engineering software such as ETABS, SAFE, STAAD, RAM SS, ADAPT, EnerCalc.
Proficiency in Autocad and Revit
