Brief Position Summary

Under the general guidance of the Chief Executive Officer, The Associate Director of Strategic Initiatives is responsible for shaping and driving Felton Institute's strategic initiatives. This leadership role is essential to achieving our strategic goals, improving program performance, increasing revenue, and fostering cross-departmental collaboration. The associate director will collaborate closely with department directors to ensure alignment with organizational objectives, programmatic administration, and facilitate collaborative efforts to achieve targets.

Job Description

  • Strategic Planning: Lead the development and execution of assigned Felton Institute strategic initiatives in alignment with organizational goals. Work closely with the CEO and other leaders to ensure strategic alignment across all departments. Meet regularly with agency leadership to review strategy, progress to date, metrics, and KPIs.
  • Program Development and Management: Oversee the creation, expansion, and management of strategic programs and initiatives. Ensure successful implementation and execution to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Partnership Development: Identify, cultivate, and manage strategic partnerships with external organizations, government agencies, and other stakeholders. Collaborate internally and externally to enhance the impact of Felton Institute's programs and services.
  • Financial Oversight: Collaborate with the finance team to develop budgets and financial plans for strategic initiatives. Monitor and manage financial performance to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize data-driven insights to inform decision-making and evaluate the effectiveness of strategic initiatives. Prepare regular reports for executive leadership, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
  • Leadership and Team Development: Build and lead a high-performing team, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful implementation of strategic initiatives. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain effective communication strategies to ensure internal and external stakeholders are informed and engaged in strategic initiatives. Represent Felton Institute at relevant events and forums. Monitor state and national legislation and local policies that impact Felton.
  • FQHC - Project Development: Evaluate the viability and potential impact of establishing a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) within Felton. Conduct a comprehensive feasibility assessment and present the report to the leadership team.

  • Proven behavioral health and clinical experience in a BIPOC environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Growth Accelerator: Pursue and onboard new Felton ventures consistent with CEO/agency strategic initiatives, including setting up and managing programs.
  • Development: Identify and pursue new partnerships and expansion opportunities.
  • Operation Integrity: Provide system integration and management internally and for external coordination/collaboration.
  • Engagement: Develop, present, and analyze outcome metrics/outcomes to funders, partners, and community stakeholders. Monitor legislation impacting Felton.
  • System Engineering: Strengthening and oversight of current and evolving contract performance, outcome capturing, billing, and reporting effectiveness. Support BPM continued utilization and integration.
