Seeking a compliance-minded individual that is comfortable reading regulations and who is able, or willing to learn how to convert legal tax requirements into operational requirements. Will also be responsible for supporting the Tax Department team with managing department requirements and controls in support of the Discover enterprise product operations programs and overall Tax Department needs. Responsibilities Recognizes and documents changes in statute, regulations or guidance for communication to business teams. Reviews and recommends operational tax-related enhancements to business team procedures, policies and training materials. Supports business initiatives to provide new or enhanced products/activities to Discover customers by communicating the tax implications and requirements of those products or activities. Reviews language in customer/payee-facing communications to ensure language is tax-appropriate. Uses research tools to explore issues posed by business teams and formulates responses as guidance to those requests. Facilitates and performs activities required by the Compliance Management System (CMS) for Corporate Tax.
