Darigold is seeking an experienced and driven Food Manufacturing Professional to fill the position of Production Manager at our Issaquah, Washington plant. The Production Manager will be tasked with leading and developing a team of five salaried supervisors who directly oversee a 24/7/365 butter/cottage cheese plant in Issaquah, Washington. This team will have full responsibility for Maintaining Quality Safety Practices, Ensuring Employee Training and Scheduling, Controlling Operational Costs, and Ensuring the Quality of Our Finished Products. The successful candidate will work closely with Maintenance and Quality Managers. This position reports to the Plant Manager.

This is a salaried position. Compensation will be based upon experience and abilities. Salary will be between $95,000 and $110,000 per year.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties as assigned)

•Provide leadership and supervision to production shifts

•Effectively communicate with other managers, supervisors, and operators to assure superior levels of safety, reliability, sanitation, and quality

•Ability to work with all departments to create a collaborative environment

•Develop an expert knowledge of the product production process and associated equipment

•Be able to troubleshoot manufacturing issues and develop the team to be self-directed in the same activities

•Ensure that proper GMP procedures are followed

•Oversee the production schedule, as needed

•Understand sanitation, including CIP's, and ensuring proper parameters are being followed

•Develop SOP's and collect data, as needed

•Ability to understand and report on plant financials

•Be able to perform daily checks and reports to ensure that the products produced are of the highest quality

•Reinforce sense of urgency during production runs and periods of equipment downtime

•Effectively communicate issues to the management team

•Implement continuous plant improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste

•Support the Darigold Performance System initiative

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

•Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

•Strong written and verbal communication skills. Able to work effectively with plant manufacturing teams and serve as a liaison to our customers

•Demonstrated ability to achieve results through others, as well as the ability to operate independently as required

•Ability to manage multiple priorities

•Ability to work with a vision toward continuous improvement

•Strong technical background in cheese manufacturing preferred. Utilizes technical skills to train and develop others

•Knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and other software applications

Education, Experience and Certifications

•Bachelor's Degree in Business or Dairy Operational Management preferred

•Minimum of five years' experience in management or supervisory position in food production
