General Purpose: Conduct and analyze research in industry relevant areas. Provide a central source for knowledge and market intelligence relating to fluid milk marketing to assist in forecasting, budgeting, pooling, pricing, future milk supply/demand economics, and general sales/marketing data, while serving as a linkage of information between various departments and at the producer and customer level. Improve the overall value, quality, and service throughout the supply chain from producer sources through DFA Southwest Area departments to end customers. This will be achieved by working within multiple departments with the Southwest Area office and taking on responsibilities associated with each department. Assist other departments with special informational requests and market analysis. Oversee and participate in the generation of management information reports. Create, analyze, and report customer specific data relating to quality, weight variance, and general KPI data. Job Duties And Responsibilities

Serve as a liaison between the DFA Southwest Area and customers Develop intermediate and long-range production plans, working closely with transportations/logistics, membership, and accounting personnel Evaluate and track the supply and demand between members and the sales agreements with customers Assist in creating marketing strategies to support weekly sales to existing customers Create customer scorecards and utilize technology to track and present KPIs and other metrics Provide support to managers and staff to ensure successful completion of departmental communications projects Maintain daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly reports relating to various KPI’s Support the marketing department's cost saving efforts by analyzing dairy prices and future forecasts Measure and communicate results of business processes and advise methods for performance improvements across all areas of operations Update and consolidate weekly updates for meetings with departments Run cost analyses for premiums and track the various financial programs for members and customers Develop cost-saving strategies in line with milk marketing guidelines and support the accounting team during the monthly invoicing process Collect, analyze, and report data to assist with market research projects and to study industry trends. Make recommendations based on research findings and conclusions Build and maintain models and create reports for projecting future milk supplies and demands Research market conditions and federal order provisions and data on a local, regional, and national level. Prepare and submit reports and recommend actions based on findings Analyze performance data for the purpose of enhancing customer service levels Extract, collect, and modify data from internal and external systems to enhance decision making in the area of fluid milk marketing, customer service performance, and hauler performance Provide support to market research, communications, member services, accounting, and general management through data analysis, publication writing, and presentation development Gain a quantifiable understanding of variations in milk supply and dispositions across DFA on a daily, weekly, monthly, seasonal, and annual basis Provide pricing information both internally and to customers and analyze market conditions and recommend any modifications to premium structure if needed Collect, analyze, and report in the area of pooling with the federal orders relating to production and sales. Provide pooling strategy and recommendations and generate and distribute monthly pooling reports Assess and make recommendations relating to data results generated from KPI’s / metrics used in tracking performance to customers both internal and external Research trends in supply and customer demand and utilize to assist in development of forecasting and budgeting Monitor the progress of deliveries from origin to delivery at customer The requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employee, but is not a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required. Education and Experience

Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Communications, or related curriculum (or equivalent combination of experience and education) 2 to 5 years of general marketing and/or sales, market research, data analysis, communications, or related experience Agriculture, food or dairy experience preferred Certification and/or License – None Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Intermediate to advanced proficiency with software including MS Office applications, SAP, Power BI, and Salesforce Able to work independently on data intensive projects Able to manage multiple priorities Able to work with accuracy and attention to detail Able and willingness to learn new tasks Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, for a diverse range of internal and external audiences Able to bring a project from conception to completion and adhere to steps and timelines Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of people in business and social settings An Equal Opportunity Employer #J-18808-Ljbffr
