SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE: The Senior Financial Analyst of Local Sales is a key contributor to the Global Support Center Sales Finance Team supporting both the field and GSC local finance stakeholders. This includes strong collaboration and strategic partnership with other key Sysco teams such as the Sales, Supply Chain, SBS, Commercial Finance, and Financial Planning & Analysis to understand, drive, execute and deliver positive financial performance for local sales. Areas of responsibility include financial oversight of local sales results, including market share growth, profitability, key metrics, forecasting and AGP creation. Also to include focus on areas such as customer retention, strategy execution and partnership with Sales leaders. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Market Share Growth - Responsible for providing input on strategies and contributing to the financial oversight including tracking of all initiatives, through creation and monitoring of robust business cases. Financial Modeling – Ability to pull data to create decision making opportunities, report results/tracking and/or model variations; and provide ad hoc sensitivity analysis and scenarios. Problem Solving - Troubleshoot and resolve escalated issues and communicate resolution. Partner with internal Team and Sales Leaders communicating results. Provide inputs and recommendations to improve processes and controls. Financial Analysis - Partner with Stakeholders to provide value-added insights to drive needed actions through financial analytics and business performance measurements. This includes leading and collaborating on cross-functional Margin Improvement initiatives as well as key Monthly / Quarterly Business Reviews. Performance Monitoring - Reviews dashboards, KPI’s and analyzes reports. Responsible for ensuring Segment performance of Local Sales & applicable initiatives, strategies, and goals. Monitor and communicate key risks/opportunities each period ensuring alignment with other functions. Communication - Ensure that adherence of deadlines, check ins and priorities are aligned with company objectives. Attend Sales Leaders’ staff meetings and communicate financial performance. Compliance - Accountable for ensuring that Sysco’s Accounting Policies and Procedures (e.g., FAMM) and US GAAP are adhered to, including SOX (Sarbanes Oxley) control, for assigned Local Account Customers. Also responsible for monitoring assigned Local Customer compliance to our Master Services Agreement and bring awareness to opportunities for improvement where necessary. Strategy - Regularly attend and/or lead strategic, partnership meetings and take an active seat at the table. Be a key contributor for the design, compliance, and control of strategic initiatives and other significant or transformational Local Sales or Customer Experience transactions. Relationships - Manage relationships with cross functional peers, Leadership, and External Customers where applicable. Collaborate with Sysco Global partners where there are shared Local Account Customers to ensure strategic alignment on proposals and provide Executive Team with an Enterprise view of Customer’s P&L. Financial Planning/Forecasting – Assist in the management of the overall budget for the Segment assigned. Additionally, partner with the relevant teams to ensure all accounting matters are properly assessed, communicated, and included in the forecast. This includes building, supporting and executing the Field Annual Growth Plan (AGP) for all assigned Local Sales Customers as well as providing the complete volume and profitability forecast for assigned Local Sales Customers each month to FP&A. Presentations - Prepare executive level presentations such as region and market MBR’s, QBR’s, and AGP in a manner that is easily understood, providing concise information to make timely decisions as well as communicating all areas of risks and opportunities to drive the best outcomes for the organization. This includes the Sysco Executive Leadership Team and Local Sales Senior Leadership Team. Special Projects - Work on other ad-hoc projects requested by executive management and other leadership positions. REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: BA or, an equivalent combination of education and experience (5+ years) sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 1-3 years of work experience in a corporate setting, with emphasis on areas such as reporting development, financial planning and analysis, business analytics, and financial modeling. Strong Commercial focus, with exposure to multiple business/functions and excellent business partnering skills. CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS: ABILITIES AND SKILLS: Proficient use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook). Advanced proficiency in Excel preferred (VBA, macros, scripts, formulas, data visualization, etc.). Technical skills preferred (SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, etc.).
