Primary Purpose:

Support the district mission and strategic plan by providing leadership and expertise in the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of the software applications and the integration of and training for various digital tools.

Qualifications: Education/Certification

Bachelor's Degree, required Master's Degree in Educational Administration, Curriculum and Instruction, Instructional Technology, Information Technology or Associated Field required Valid Texas teaching certificate, required Valid Principal certificate, Mid-Management or Supervisor certification, preferred T-TESS appraiser certification, preferred

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Extensive knowledge of instructional technology and educational software applications Ability to interpret data for continuous improvement Ability to evaluate instructional programs and technology for student and adult success Knowledge of partnership principles for professional development of adult learners Ability to create and manage budgets and expenditures Ability to interpret state and federal law as it relates to education Ability to coordinate multiple projects and district functions, simultaneously Ability to work independently and be self-directed Effective organizational, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills Strong technology skills for leadership, administration, and integration in the educational setting Ability to work with a variety of end-users in a customer-centered, service-oriented, supportive manner

Experience:

5 years Teaching Campus or district leadership experience Working with website development, software application development and/or support Evaluating educational technology for impact on outcomes, integration, data privacy, etc. Developing and delivering professional development/training for adults Demonstrating leadership capabilities, including skills with consensus building, active listening, oral and written communication, mediation, organization, time management, fiscal responsibility, delivery of constructive feedback, and working in a team setting toward shared goals.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

Develop, plan, and deliver staff development and training consistent with district goals Analyze data and feedback from staff to determine current and future professional learning needs Provide professional guidance to Departments and Campuses in designing, producing, and maintaining web pages for the most effective delivery of information Produce online and instructor led training material in a variety of multimedia formats Collects and analyzes data and gathers ideas for projects and facilitates project planning and implementation Support Department and Campus teams in the implementation of the district software application programs including enterprise level tools that support instruction, learning and assessment. Support the growth of campus teacher leaders by providing opportunities in training and presentation of best practices in educational technology applications Collaborate with central office colleagues regarding vertical coherence of blended and personalized learning Collaborate with colleagues regarding coherence of technology, instructional technology support, software application training and projects Participate in strategic planning initiatives and problem-solving at the district and campus levels Fulfill administrative responsibilities related to attending and actively participating in meetings, maintaining local and federal budgets, grants and expenditures, and serving on district committees as requested Prepare, maintain, and present information, reports, and records, as required Follow all district procedures, guidelines, and policies Maintain a professional and positive tone in all (email, written, and verbal) communications
