The Role

Our Manufacturing & Logistics consulting practice is one of the most prominent and significant in the industry. And we are growing We are looking for a Senior Consultant to join us in our Consulting practice. This role will focus on industrial manufacturing strategies at the intersection of business and technology, helping lead the way as we continue to scale our business.

We’re looking for Senior Consultants who can deliver within Cognizant’s Five Pillars of Consulting Excellence: 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, & 5) People Development. As a Senior Consultant, this means partnering with clients and project stakeholders to clarify requirements and support delivery of effective solutions; applying technical and domain expertise to solve core client business challenges or inefficiencies; developing and strengthening domain knowledge and maintaining an accurate understanding of Cognizant’s industry propositions and consulting capabilities; supporting business development activities of senior leaders; contributing to the development of practice initiatives or new service offerings (e.g., Strategic Control Points, development of consulting assets); and being an inspiring colleague, promoting team motivation, partnership, and ownership for projects. Responsibilities

  • As part of our Management Consulting practice, serve as a Senior Consultant on a large-scale project for an end-client; work directly with the client onsite in the Detroit office 4 days a week
  • Drive requirements documentation and modeling operational processes in detail.
  • Understand business requirements and perform data analysis and compile data gaps and review with business.
  • Able to design flow diagrams for development teams to articulate requirements.
  • Facilitating application development efforts of Daimler offshore team and code release management
  • Oversee and manage requests, incidents, and changes of 20 existing .NET, Web applications including SQL components
  • Lead and collaborate with Data Analytics Cross-Functional team on modernization of over 50 .NET, Web based dashboards and reports
  • Oversee and manage authorization and authentication upgrade (IAM) for all applications
  • Clearly communicate business priorities to partners in tech, design, and controls
  • Assist in developing and managing product roadmap, driving prioritization of features while balancing customer and business impacts.
  • Leverage data to understand user behavior and assist in product roadmap revision.
  • Build and maintain strong collaborative relationship with all stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of business analysis experience as Business Analyst or Product Manager within Manufacturing & Logistics industry
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent relevant experience, with additional certifications preferred, but not mandatory
  • Ability to translate product vision into vertically sliced stories to develop the product iteratively
  • Proficient in Agile methodologies
  • Ability to dive into the technical details at logical level
  • Demonstrated experience problem solving and developing products from scratch.
  • Experience with bringing together cross functional teams and leading execution in an agile delivery model.
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and white space
  • Location Requirements: The ability to work on-site in the client office in Detroit 4 days per week for the duration of the project
  • Ability to travel when needed for a project
