The Senior Underwriter position within Baker Tilly Capital, LLC'sDevelopment Community Advisory - Capital Formation ("DCA") team offersa great opportunity to be part of a growing team within our FINRABroker-Dealer and be a valued business advisor delivering industry-focusedfinancial services to energy and infrastructure clients. Baker Tilly Capitalis a Boutique Investment Bank that specializes in Tax Credits, Mergers &Acquisitions, capital sourcing, project finance, and corporate advisory.Baker Tilly has financed over 1,000 tax credit transactions and over $20Billion in tax credits (e.g. 45Q, New Markets Tax Credit, AffordableHousing, Historic Tax Credits and Opportunity Zones) We have closedtransactions with nearly all of the top 20 largest U.S. banks, along withmany regional and community banks, and numerous Fortune 500 corporations. What You Will Do
Immerse in the field of Energy, learning about the companies,technologies, and systems that deliver energy resources. Baker Tilly Capitalworks with clients across energy sources, from clean energy sources likesolar, wind, biomass, renewable natural gas, advanced biofuels to oil& gas related infrastructure.
Customize detailed financial models for deal specific structuring elementsand circumstances - this can include a wide range of technologies andincorporating multiple tax credit programs, government incentives, andnon-traditional financing programs.
Assist in securing financing and equity sources for transactions, andnegotiating financing agreement from these sources.
Assist with acquisition, preservation, disposition and recapitalizationstrategies for owners of energy asset portfolios.
Assist with various aspects of transactions involving federal tax includingpreparing the relevant application materials and structuring monetization ofthe credits to help clients maximize value.
Provide support in developing presentations, responding to requests forproposals, pitch books, and creating proposals for the team.
Research industry topics and technical issues, compile data, and presentfindings.
Assist in energy and infrastructure focused analysis for thought leadershippieces.Qualifications
