We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled GCC Compiler Engineer to join our team. As a GCC Compiler Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and optimizing compilers for cutting-edge semiconductor products. You will work closely with hardware engineers, software engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the efficient and effective execution of compiler-related tasks.
This role is hybrid, based out of Santa Clara, CA; Austin, TX; or Toronto, ON.
Responsibilities
- Develop GCC/LLVM compilers optimized for custom RISCV hardware and vector engines
- Participate in the co-design of Tenstorrent's hardware and software stack, both for RISCV and AI hardware
- Benchmark, analyze and optimize performance of key applications both, both for RISCV and AI software stacks
- Integrate the Tenstorrent software into leading machine learning frameworks
- Work closely with machine learning engineers to discover the hardware and software requirements of current and future machine learning applications
- BSc, MSc or PhD in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science
- 5+ years of GCC Compiler experience
- Experience with algorithms, data structures, and software development in C/C++
- Experience writing compiler passes for both GIMPLE and RTL
- Experience with GCC's custom backend is a plus.
- Familiarity with and passion for any of the followingmachine learning, compilers, parallel programming, high-performance and massively parallel systems, processor and computer architectureis a plus
Compensation for all engineers at Tenstorrent ranges from $100k - $500k including base and variable compensation targets. Experience, skills, education, background and location all impact the actual offer made.
