About Wayflyer

Our mission is to empower DTC businesses to unlock their full potential. Join us

Wayflyer is revolutionising eCommerce by levelling the playing field for founders across the world. Our first product, the Merchant Cash Advance, solves a major pain point for brands: access to short-term finance to fund inventory and marketing spend. Since launching in April 2020, we’ve deployed over $3.0bn in funding to 1,000’s of eCommerce founders across 10 countries. We’ve helped companies like Wild , Dock & Bay and Branch take their businesses to the next level. Check out this video from Davie Fogherty, another one of our brilliant customers, giving a great explanation of what we do and how we helped The Oodie go from strength to strength. We’re a fast-growing, venture-backed startup that serves a critical need for eCommerce entrepreneurs. You'll be joining an ambitious, collaborative team that's working on a huge opportunity We announced our Series B in February 2022 raising $150m in funding at $1.6bn valuation; backed by world-leading VCs including QED and DST Global. Teams at Wayflyer are truly cross-functional. Regardless of your role at Wayflyer, you'll work with a variety of different disciplines and teams from around the world on a multitude of challenging projects and game-changing products to revolutionise the eCommerce landscape. What you’ll be working on

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Product Manager to help grow our presence and drive new business for Wayflyer. As the Senior Product Manager for our Growth & Acquisition team, you will be responsible for identifying and tackling growth opportunities for Wayflyer to lean into across outbound and inbound channels — and at a later stage — developing new products that would broaden our TAM and capture those markets. You will be working in a fast-paced, agile environment with a team of designers, engineers and data scientists. This role would suit candidates who have worked in growth product roles in a B2B, SaaS or fintech context. Your day-to-day

You’ll be responsible for how Wayflyer drives growth through the product across new and existing acquisition channels

You’ll work closely with Sales leadership in identifying and executing on opportunities to unlock new market segments and increase the efficiency with which we acquire new customers

You’ll collaborate with Marketing leadership to define an aligned vision and deliver a plan to build out scalable new channels to drive Wayflyer’s future growth

You’ll develop, own and deliver on Wayflyer’s product-led growth strategy

You’ll ensure that the first (and subsequent) impressions customers have of Wayflyer with its website are best in class

You’ll prioritise ruthlessly to ensure that the teams are set up for success, ensure that plans and prioritisation are explained and communicated to all stakeholders, and take ultimate accountability for the impact of the teams.

You’ll work closely with teams across the business to understand and capitalise on the biggest growth opportunities, including conducting in-depth research around the top of funnel customer journey.

You’ll monitor and assess product performance and customer feedback to continuously improve the product, acknowledging that the product lifecycle only starts once any feature is live.

You’ll develop, execute and communicate to the wider org a product roadmap for the Growth & Acquisition team.

You’ll help raise the bar for product at Wayflyer. We’re a growing team, but every product manager plays a critical role in improving our community and culture –whether that’s through improving our best practices or mentoring other members of the team. We love an environment of giving and receiving feedback in which everyone can continue to grow.

You’ll regularly work with ourproduct leadership, reporting to the VP Product, to help ensure long-term strategy and business goals are in alignment and facilitate healthy opportunities for visibility and feedback across teams.

Who you are

The one thing that will decide if this role is right for you. You must have worked as a senior level product manager in an early-to-mid-stage startup (series A-C) as part of the Product Management/ Product Design/Engineering trio and be able to demonstrate deep working knowledge of operating as a product manager who understands the value of working closely with engineers and designers and making decisions about the product together. This means: The ability to go deep into a problem and use insight, research and data to build products that create value for customers.

A combination of product sense and pragmatism, and an ability to find the path of least resistance to get to the desired outcome.

Excellent judgment - you’re able to make well-informed decisions and know when to go fast or slow down.

Experience working in fintech in an internal tooling context or at an API level.

An engaging relationship builder, who can rally people with different perspectives, backgrounds and concerns around a common goal.

You have strong opinions, loosely held. You create the space for diverse opinions, backed with data and experience to contribute to and influence decisions.

A high level of autonomy and comfort with ambiguity, Wayflyer is a startup so you need to enjoy the dynamism and volatility that comes with that, although that’s not a euphemism for chaos or toxicity.

Entrepreneurial and self-starting - you’re capable of finding ways to contribute towards team and company goals without waiting for direction.

A passion for continuous improvement and dissatisfaction with status quo; always thinking of ways to improve and move towards goodness.

What happens next We’ll review and respond to every application we receive. If we’re interested in taking your application further, we will be in touch to find out more about you and what you’re looking for. What perks and benefits do we offer? Equity scheme
