Job Purpose

The Senior Clinical Manager in our Residential Program is responsible for overseeing the clinical operations of the residential program, ensuring the delivery of high-quality therapeutic services to at-risk youth residing in our residential facilities. This position plays a key role in developing and implementing clinical policies and procedures, supervising clinical staff, and collaborating with other departments to provide comprehensive care to our clients.

Essential Functions

* Lead and oversee the residential clinical services team, including hiring, training, and supervising clinical staff.


* Develop and implement clinical policies, procedures, and protocols in accordance with best practices and regulatory standards.


* Conduct regular clinical case reviews, consultations, and team meetings to ensure effective treatment planning and coordination of care.


* Provide clinical supervision and guidance to staff, including reviewing clinical documentation, conducting performance evaluations, and addressing clinical concerns.


* Collaborate with external partners, such as community agencies, schools, and healthcare providers, to coordinate care and support client transitions.


* Participate in on-call rotation and respond to clinical emergencies as needed.


* Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all clinical interactions and decision-making processes.

* Provide clinical direction and guidance to the residential program's clinical team.


* Ensure adherence to evidence-based practices and ethical standards in clinical care.


* Foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and professional development among clinical staff.




* Program Development
* Engage in collaboration to develop and implement innovative clinical programs.


* Conduct needs assessments and research to identify gaps and opportunities for program improvement.


* Evaluate program outcomes and make recommendations for enhancements based on best practices and client feedback.




* Staff Supervision
* Supervise clinical staff, including Residential Therapists, Case Managers, Nursing, Medication, and Psychiatric Services staff, through regular meetings and supervision sessions.


* Provide ongoing training, support, and feedback to enhance staff performance and professional growth.


* Conduct performance evaluations, set goals, and address performance issues in a timely and constructive manner.




* Clinical Oversight
* Oversee the assessment and treatment planning process for residential clients, ensuring individualized and effective interventions.


* Monitor the delivery of clinical services, review clinical documentation, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.


* Collaborate with clinicians to develop and implement treatment plans that address clients' unique needs and goals.




* Client Case Management:
* Provide oversight and supervision to client case managers, ensuring effective case management practices and coordination of client care.


* Review client case plans, progress notes, and outcomes to ensure alignment with treatment goals and objectives.


* Collaborate with case managers to address client needs, barriers to progress, and complex case issues.




* Quality Assurance
* Monitor and evaluate the quality of clinical services through regular audits, reviews, and outcome measurements.


* Identify areas for improvement and implement quality assurance measures to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of clinical care.


* Participate in internal and external quality improvement initiatives, including accreditation processes and program evaluations.




* Collaboration
* Collaborate with other departments, including residential operations, education, and medical services, to ensure integrated and coordinated care for clients.


* Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, external partners, and stakeholders to promote holistic client care and positive outcomes.


* Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and interdisciplinary discussions to facilitate continuity of care and client progress.




* Documentation and Compliance
* Ensure accurate and timely documentation of clinical services, assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.


* Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and organizational policies and procedures.


* Participate in audits, surveys, and quality assurance activities to demonstrate compliance and adherence to best practices.




* Crisis Intervention
* Provide clinical leadership and support during crisis situations, including conducting risk assessments and developing safety plans.


* Coordinate crisis interventions, response protocols, and follow-up care to ensure client safety and well-being.


* Collaborate with external resources, such as emergency services, hospitals, and crisis hotlines, as needed to address client emergencies.




* Training and Development
* Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and professional development activities for clinical staff.


* Provide clinical consultation, mentorship, and coaching to support staff learning and skill development.


* Promote a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and best practices in clinical care.




* Clinical Consultation
* Provide clinical consultation to staff, families, and external stakeholders on complex cases, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions.


* Collaborate with external consultants, experts, and specialists to enhance clinical expertise and knowledge.


* Serve as a resource and subject matter expert on clinical matters, policies, and procedures within the organization and community.

Qualifications

Qualifications

* Master's degree in clinical psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field required; licensed clinical therapist (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, etc.) preferred.
* Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience, with strong skills in staff development, team building, and clinical supervision.
* Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic interventions, crisis intervention techniques, and mental health assessment tools.
* Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
* Commitment to cultural competence, diversity, equity, and inclusion in clinical practice.
* Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards for residential treatment programs preferred.

Working Conditions

* Work primarily in an office environment within a residential treatment facility.
* Regularly interact with clinical staff, clients, families, and external stakeholders.
* May require occasional evening or weekend hours to respond to clinical emergencies or attend meetings/events.
* Travel to off-site meetings, trainings, or conferences may be required occasionally.
* Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
