GENERAL SUMMARY

The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for the development, implementation and management of the Talent Acquisition function across an extremely diverse group of departments and positions. They will develop recruitment strategies, including job posting, branding campaigns, developing recruitment marketing channels, job fair and recruiting events, and print media and employee referral programs. In addition, serves as key recruiter and screener for higher level positions. In addition, they will work with the hiring managers to identify future talent needs and provide strategic consultation to them.

CORE SCOPE OF POSITION
  • Functional and Technical Responsibilities
    • Develops recruitment strategies, including job posting optimization and analysis, recruitment marketing channels development, branding campaigns, job fair and recruiting events, and print media and employee referral programs. Continually works to find new and creative ways to source qualified candidates.
    • Works with leaders to identify future talent needs and timelines in connection with property growth and expansion.
    • Continually refines and manages the process of candidate assessment and selection, including skill and competency assessments and behavioral and competency based interviewing.
    • Manages the applicant selection process including the screening of applications and resumes, telephone screening of candidates, reference checking and interviewing.
    • Manages the offer and hiring process including preparation of offer documentation, overview of benefits, salary, and corporate/department culture.
    • Provides recruitment counsel and guidance to hiring managers; develops specialized or competitive intelligence and research in regards to talent development or retention specific to a department's needs.
    • Oversees execution of employment events, such as career fairs, specialized recruiting events, and onsite Interview Days.
    • Defines and manages the use of job boards, Internet sourcing, and other technical means to source candidates for open jobs.
    • Very hands on, with active participation in recruitment processes, including regular scheduled on property hiring fairs, off property job fairs, jumping in to fill needs within the Talent Acquisition team as needed.
    • Ensures department is operating in accordance with applicable laws and company policies and procedures.
    • Ensures employment-related website is kept up to date.
  • Leadership Responsibilities
    • Responsible for hiring, staffing, and termination decisions.
    • Manages, plans, and organizes staff's time to ensure cost effective use of labor while meeting guest service and business needs.
    • Works with Compensation to consult on appropriate salary for candidate/position.
    • Develops and maintains a strong working relationship with Gaming Commission to ensure their requirements are met and that applications are approved in a timely manner.
    • Develops relationships with third-party recruitment agencies, staffing firms, schools, government agencies and community contacts.
    • Communicates company and departmental goals and fosters open communication across the Talent Acquisition team.
  • Manages and Monitors Staff Performance
    • Manages a team to facilitate the sourcing, attracting, recruiting, and on-boarding of new Team Members.
    • Addresses team members' performance and behaviors. Sets expectations and develops plans for improvement.

General Office and Special Projects
  • Evaluates, implements, upgrades and maintains all employment-related software including applicant tracking, on-boarding and skill assessment, leading the initiative towards a paperless department.
  • Compiles and analyzes data to identify trends and opportunities to improve time to hire and quality of candidates.
  • Maintains generalist knowledge of other areas of Human Resources.
  • Manages the Talent Acquisition budget.

Required Experience

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION
  • Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Human Resources Management or related area.
  • SPHR or HR Certification preferred.
EXPERIENCE
  • 5+ years of managing the recruitment function.
  • Demonstrated experience in recruiting for positions in the Hospitality or Gaming industry.
  • Experience working with applicant tracking system required
