Job Title: Front Desk Agent

Location: Philadelphia, PA
Department: Front Office/Guest Services
Reports to: Front Office Manager

Job Summary:
The Front Desk Agent is the face of the hotel, responsible for creating an exceptional guest experience through warm and professional service. This role involves checking in and out guests, managing reservations, responding to inquiries, and providing general hotel information. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, a friendly attitude, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Guest Services:
    • Greet and welcome guests upon arrival with a warm, friendly demeanor.
    • Assist guests with check-in/check-out procedures, ensuring accurate and efficient processing.
    • Provide information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions.
    • Address and resolve guest concerns or complaints in a professional manner.
  • Communication:
    • Answer incoming phone calls and respond to guest inquiries via phone, email, or in person.
    • Communicate with other hotel departments (housekeeping, maintenance, etc.) to ensure guest needs are met.
    • Keep accurate records of guest requests, complaints, and any significant events.
  • Operational Support:
    • Monitor and maintain the front desk area, keeping it tidy and presentable.
    • Assist with administrative tasks such as printing reports and handling correspondence.
    • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent. A degree in hospitality or a related field is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using hotel management software (training will be provided if necessary).
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and resolve conflicts.
  • Basic math skills for handling cash and transactions.
