Contract Operations Manager Location: Washington, DC Metro Area Required: US Citizen Node is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contracts Manager with expertise in government contracting, contract management, and operational support. The ideal candidate will play a dual role, leading contract lifecycle administration while also supporting operations via coordination with Program Managers (PMs) to ensure timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder requirements are properly understood and met throughout the project lifecycle. This position requires strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills, along with the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Contract Management: Lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of contracts to ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards. Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., PMs, Legal, Finance, Procurement) to ensure contracts are in alignment with business objectives. Manage contract lifecycles, including renewals, amendments, and terminations. Identify and mitigate risks related to contract terms and execution. Maintain accurate records of contracts and supporting documentation. Ensure compliance in the areas of overall government contracting, prime contract award processes (FFP, CPFF, T&M, IDIQ, etc.), subcontracts and contract modifications, contract and purchase order close out, procurement request package review, and cost/price analysis support. Operations Management: Collaborate with PMs to ensure adherence to deadlines, budget, scope, requirements, and deliverables due dates. Where possible, coordinate with PMs to optimize workflows and project delivery. Align contract processes with operational goals to enhance service delivery. Identify contracting workflow inefficiencies and develop streamlining solutions. Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and stakeholder expectations. Compliance and Reporting: Ensure that all contracts and project activities comply with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards. Prepare and present regular progress reports on contract status, project milestones, and risks to senior management. Maintain accurate and thorough contract records. Review and resolve any issues to ensure compliance with legal requirements as well as company and customer objectives. Advise management of contractual rights and obligations. Act as a recognized authority within the company. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field (Master's preferred). Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) preferred. 5+ years of experience in contract and project management. Demonstrated understanding of contract regulations and/or contract law. Demonstrated understanding of project management methodologies. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and contracts simultaneously. Proficiency with contract management software and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Trello) and Microsoft Office Suite. Desired Skills: Analytical mindset with the ability to assess complex situations and identify solutions. Experience in managing both client-facing and internal contracts. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with a focus on detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Company Overview: Node.
