Overview:

We are seeking an IT Infrastructure Assessment Consultant to perform a comprehensive review of our health system's IT infrastructure, ensuring alignment with healthcare and payment card industry standards, security (especially in cloud services), and overall performance. This position is crucial for developing a strategic 5-year IT roadmap to maintain and enhance our technological capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct a detailed evaluation of the current IT infrastructure across networking, servers, storage, virtualization, and cloud services.
Identify compliance gaps with HIPAA, PCI, and other relevant standards, especially focusing on security aspects within cloud environments.
Develop a catalog of IT systems including hardware, software, OS versions, and patch statuses.
Prepare a Current State Assessment Report that outlines compliance, security, and performance status.
Create a Future State Roadmap and Strategic Recommendations Report to guide IT upgrades and implementations that will enhance security and regulatory compliance.

Devices and Systems Managed:
Servers:

Oversee 780 Windows servers and 50 Linux/Unix servers, supporting various applications.
Web Servers:

Manage 18 servers (IIS, Apache, Tomcat) crucial for hosting applications.
Cloud Infrastructure:

Utilize Azure AD among other cloud assets for robust identity management and operational flexibility.
Database Systems:

Maintain 24 databases (MSSQL, Oracle, Cache) critical for storing essential data.
Email Systems:

Administer 3 Microsoft Exchange servers for organizational communications.
Endpoint Security:

Implement comprehensive security measures across all endpoints.
Network Infrastructure:

Handle 128 switches and routers, 120 network flows, and various security devices including 6 perimeter and 2 datacenter firewalls, 2 IPS/IDS systems, and VPNs.
Other Applications:

Responsible for 35 applications including ERP systems and custom software.
Client PCs:

Support and maintain 3,400 client computers across the organization.

Required Experience and Skills:
Proven expertise in IT infrastructure evaluation, particularly within healthcare settings.
Familiarity with healthcare and payment card industry compliance standards.
Strong background in cloud security and managing cloud services such as Microsoft Azure and other cloud platforms.
Experience with a variety of IT systems, including Windows and Linux servers, Active Directory, and network security solutions.
Ability to produce detailed documentation and strategic plans.

Data-driven approach with the ability to monitor and report on key performance indicators.
Project Scope:
Evaluate IT infrastructure covering 1.9 million sqft of space and 320 acres across multiple locations.
Focus on diverse technologies including Epic EMR, Cerner Millennium, Infor Cloud, Kronos HRM, GE PACS, and Microsoft 365.
Assess networking, server management, storage solutions, virtualization, and cloud services.
Deliverables:
System catalog and inventory of OS versions.
IT Infrastructure Architecture Diagram.
Current State Assessment and Compliance & Security Assessment Reports.
Future State Roadmap and Strategic Recommendations.

Contract Term:
Duration of the project is set for immediate start with an expected completion timeline aligning with strategic planning needs.
