Additionally, you will process diverse vehicle registrations and titling, tax collection, and other DMV-related services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to a diverse range of customers, including licensed drivers and ID card holders, businesses, and other state agencies.
  • Communicate complex policies, procedures, and regulations to customers in a clear and concise manner.
  • Process customer transactions, including issuing IDs, processing applications, and administering vision, driver, and in-car road tests.
  • Process diverse vehicle registrations and titling, tax collection, and other DMV-related services.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • Customer service experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience using a personal computer or other automated systems.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience handling cash/credit card transactions.
  • Flexibility to work Monday through Friday and Saturday.
  • Strong organizational, time management, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
  • Must have attention to detail, accuracy, and complete assignments on time.
  • Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid VA Driver's License with a driving record that reflects a sense of responsibility for highway safety and concern for the law.
  • Driving records should have a point balance of less than six demerit points and no major convictions.
  • Experience working in a team or group environment.
  • Experience interpreting and explaining complex policies and procedures.
  • Ability to lift 10 – 25 pounds.
