State Fund’s Project Management Office has an immediate opening and seeking a talented individual who is passionate about driving successful projects and exceeding expectations. This is an exceptional opportunity with amazing benefits.
These positions can be filled in the following locations: Alameda, Sacramento, or Solano County.
Telework may be available and is subject to change based on State Fund guidelines and business needs. Candidates must reside in California to be eligible for this appointment.
As the PMO Senior Project Manager you will:
Manage multiple complex projects.
Ensure that deliverables be it products, services, or program solutions, are met on schedule, within budget and within scope.
Provide project leadership, organizing and planning the work effort for our team members in a matrix environment.
Key Skills and knowledge:
Proficient knowledge and abilities in various project management methodologies, product management and system development lifecycle.
Proficient knowledge with project management software, (e.g. Confluence, MS Project, and Jira).
Ability to set and manage priorities according to project requirements and time constraints.
Ability to analyze and solve technical problems and issues.
Ability to evaluate alternatives and propose recommendations; drive and manage to execution.
Ability to leverage project management fundamentals and negotiate with client level personnel and internal staff for project support.
Desirable Qualifications
In addition to your relevant experience, we highly value candidates who holds the following:
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certificate from the Project Management Institute.
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or comparable agile experience
Certified Scrum Product Management (CSPO)
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in project management
