In this role, you are responsible of the customer interaction and coordination of the Florence facility projects as well as supporting the day-to-day operation and special initiatives implementation.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF A SALES COORDINATOR:

To excel in the role, you should be able to communicate efficiently both with customers and colleagues and have an interest in business development. You balance a desire to support and work closely with customers along with your passion for working as a team through changes and challenges. Other tasks include building and maintaining excellent relations with customers, assists and supports the resolution of customer complaints, disputes, and production challenges by implementing corrective and preventive action as needed. For each project, duties such as generating equipment reconditioning quotations, acknowledge customer orders or providing an order status and other related information are also part of a typical day in this role.

  • Responsible for preparing quotations and processing incoming orders.
  • Strong capability to prioritize tasks and stay organized.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced work environment, able to 'keep cool and calm' in a rapid setting.
  • Must be a team player and have excellent communication skills.
  • Previous experience in sales, or customer service preferred; knowledge of Microsoft Office products (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel) required.
  • Respond effectively and efficiently to internal and customer enquiries including queries relating to orders and/or returns and escalate queries where required.
  • Take orders from Product Sales Manager and input orders and related information into the organization's ordering system.
  • Liaise with sales representatives and operations to determine order status and track and maintain delivery timescales to ensure timely delivery of order to customers.
  • Work complexity and business impact: Works independently to complete given assignments, carrying out day-to-day sales coordination activities responding to internal and customer enquiries that may require some initiative.
  • Analyses and improves current ways of working.
  • Guides and influences others within own area of expertise.
  • Geographical scope: mainly national
  • Typical minimum relevant experience required: 2-5 years.
  • Process email and mailed orders for standard OEM parts and consumables.
  • Assisting with shipping logistics
  • Adhere to Valmet Inc. Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) goals and directives.


WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU MUST BE:

We're looking for individuals who are self-motivated and enjoy learning new things. To excel in the role, you should be able to communicate efficiently both with customers and colleagues and have an interest in business development. You balance a desire to support and work closely with customers along with your passion for working as a team through changes and challenges. Ability to take initiative to identify and anticipate customer needs and make recommendations for implementation.

A high school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three (3-5) years' experience in similar position or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience are required for this role. Experience working in an ERP is a strong advantage.

You must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
