POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Senior Marketing Director, the Digital Content Manager will be responsible for overseeing publication and maintenance of digital content across various channels. This includes planning, coordinating, and managing creative freelancers and content creators, as well as ensuring consistency, quality, and relevance of content to engage target audiences. The Digital Content Manager will work closely with the Social Media Manager and Media Director to plan and execute the development of content to meet digital content needs. This content can include but is not limited to video and static content for organic and paid social media content, basic and enhanced eContent for retailer .com and DTC, and educational content for multiple channels.

The candidate selected for this position will be a driven, ambitious thinker who is intellectually curious and has a healthy appetite for trying new things. This individual will need to be self-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit, and adept in operating in a fast-growing, performance-driven environment. He/she/they must also be accustomed to working on multiple tasks in parallel, and should be a self-starter that excels in finding ways to get things done.

Key Responsibilities
    • Strategize, plan, create, edit, publish and distribute engaging and relevant digital content including images and videos that resonate with the brand's target audience
    • Manage content workflows and production schedule based on content needs
    • Identify new external resources and/or work with existing external resources (freelancers, content creators, etc.) to get content created and curate content ideas
    • Manage network of external resources to create content
    • Maintain and actively grow list of creative resources, content creators, and freelancers
    • Partner with Marketing to identify new organic and paid social creative needs across the organization and develop a plan to create that content (can also include things like educational content, articles etc.)
    • Ensure consistency and appropriate look/feel of visual branding elements such as colors, fonts, and imagery across all social media & digital content to reinforce brand identity and recognition
    • Partner with Marketing to analyze content performance, evaluate high and low performing digital content, and highlight key learnings that can guide future content creation
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices
Personal Qualifications
    • Proficiency in video editing
    • Ability to come up with creative ideas
    • Knowledge of content management systems and tools
    • An understanding of the latest digital content trends on social media, online, etc.
    • Experience delivering creative feedbackAn understanding of SEO and digital marketing principles
    • Writing and proofreading skills
    • Analytical problem solving skills
    • A strong ability to manage and track creative projects
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Experience working in startups / fast-paced environments and large corporate environments.
    • The ability to think strategically yet show a willingness to roll up sleeves and to work effectively with others across the organization.
    • A high level of motivation, vision and enthusiasm.
    • An understanding of how to deliver on short time frames and be committed to meeting deadlines "no matter what"
    • The commitment to communicate in an open and honest way that quickly builds trust and respect
    • Attention to detail, bias towards action, and unwavering ethical standards
Educational Requirements
    • At least 3 years of agency experience or in a similar role
    • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, design, or a related field
