Job SummaryTo maintain kitchen sanitation, equipment and product accessibility and availability so that the kitchen team can create 'World Class' cuisine. Results are achieved through excellent organizational skills and attention to detail while living The Levy Difference. OperationsEnsures that product is fresh and available to meet culinary needsMonitors product quality regularly according to Levy Purchasing guidelinesEnsures the culinary team has the necessary equipment and suppliesMaintains storage areas to ensure product is accessibleHas strong attention to detailEnsures team members have the tools necessary to complete their jobsEnsures show quality standards are maintained at all timesSupports and communicates Company initiativesStore Food Products in compliance with Safety Practices (e.g in refrigerators, temp logs, food rotation)ControlsProvides operational planning to ensure adequate products and equipment are ordered for anticipated business levelsEmploys good safety and sanitation practicesPractices proper product control and handling of all inventory and equipmentMonitors invoices to ensure charges are within agreed upon parametersEnsures team members adhere to Levy Company guidelines as stated in team member training manual and employee handbookAchieves assigned delegation budget goalsThoroughly and accurately uses applicable Levy systems (Point-of-sale, WFM and more)TeamPromotes a cooperative work climate, maximizing productivity and moraleUses all performance management tools to provide guidance and feedback to teamSchedule kitchen staff shiftMonitors and verifies daily payroll including weekly payroll close for all kitchen staffConducts regular scheduled meetings to ensure lines of communication are open between management and team membersInterviews, hires, trains and develops team members according to Levy guidelinesDisplays a positive attitude towards team membersJob RequirementsAble to communicate effectively with management team, guests and team members by speaking and comprehending EnglishEnglish reading, writing, math and computer skills requiredProven work experience as a Kitchen Manager, Chef, or Sous ChefExcellent Organizational skillsConflict Management abilitiesAbility to manage a team in a fast-paced environmentCertification from a Culinary school or degree in Restaurant Management or related field is a plusMust be able to work extended shifts of 10 hours or more as business dictatesMust be flexible with schedule and able to work different shiftsPossible job hazards include, but are not limited to; slips, trips, falls, burns, cuts and strainsMust be able to reach, lift, stoop, bend and perform extensive standing and walking (including stairs) throughout shiftBilingual is a plusCurious about Life at Levy?
