We are a leading provider of senior living communities dedicated to enriching the lives of our residents and supporting our team members in delivering exceptional care. We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced individual to join our team as the National Director of Clinical Education and Development.
Reporting Structure: This position reports directly to the Vice President of Learning and Development, with additional collaboration with the Vice President of Resident Care and the National Director of Clinical Education.
Role Overview
As the National Director of Clinical Education and Development, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the learning and development landscape across our assisted living and skilled nursing facilities nationwide. You will lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of clinical and regulatory training programs to ensure our team members are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to deliver exceptional care to our residents.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with regulatory bodies to understand and adhere to state and federal training requirements.
Develop and execute comprehensive learning plans to ensure compliance, leveraging our learning management system.
Identify opportunities for continuous learning and performance improvement to enhance the quality of care provided.
Lead orientation, onboarding, and ongoing in-service education programs for all care team members.
Design and facilitate in-service education programs, including content development and curriculum sourcing.
Partner with leadership to develop nurse leaders and create custom learning content aligned with company policies and procedures.
Maintain accurate recordkeeping systems to demonstrate compliance with training requirements.
Support the development of corrective action plans by identifying training needs.
Develop and implement innovative learning programs to elevate our care environments.
Deliver virtual and in-person training programs, adhering to established standards.
Track and report on key training metrics and outcomes.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Provide guidance and oversight to ensure training programs meet learning objectives and support key performance indicators.
Offer leadership support to community care leaders in a matrix organization structure.
Supervise the Manager of Clinical Learning and Development.
Qualifications
Active RN license required.
Master’s degree in relevant field.
Three or more years of geriatric clinical experience.
Experience in senior living or healthcare industry.
Five or more years of experience leading complex, multi-state clinical learning and development programs.
Three or more years of experience managing clinical learning management systems.
Willingness to travel frequently.
