Understand the hazards and risks associated with manufacturing equipment.
Advanced knowledge and experience in the evaluation of safety related control systems.
This would include an understanding of relevant machinery safety standards.

Requirements:

Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
4+ years of experience.
Any holdings of machinery safety certifications are a plus.
Solid understanding of functional safety of machinery.
Strong technical knowledge of automation and control systems.
Well-developed problem-solving skills.
Capability in performing safety system verification and validation.
Basic understanding of the control of hazardous energy/Lock out – tag out.
Basic project management skills.
Extensive experience leading and participating in machinery safety and conducting machine safety *risk assessment* (Important Must Have).
