Job Summary:
Assumes overall responsibility for the Grateful Patient Program for the Foundation. Develops and implements thoughtful, strategic cultivation, solicitation and stewardship plans for prospective major donors. Engages with physicians and nurses across multiple service lines, including oncology, neurology and cardiology, and coordinates activities with administrators and other development officers and entities. Manages fundraising initiatives with a focus on accountability, best practices and collaboration. Motivates volunteers, colleagues, physicians, and other healthcare professionals toward donor and grateful patient engagement.

Essential Functions:
- Leads the team in reaching its fundraising activity and revenue goals through strong individual frontline focus. Identifies, qualifies, cultivates and solicits a portfolio of Grateful Patient Donors (GPD) and prospects. Commits to annual fundraising and portfolio goals to be determined at the beginning of each year and communicated in writing.
- Ensures regular contact with donors through various activities and communications, especially face-to-face meetings. Identifies, organizes and directs the efforts of philanthropic physician and nurse champions for the Grateful Patient Program. Identifies and qualifies new major gift patient prospects using the daily screens and rounding. Maintains an active portfolio with low inactive/cold rates, moving prospects through the fundraising cycle.
- Assumes responsibility for fiduciary accounting of the funds raised through these campaigns, initiatives, and projects. Responsible for program and service line oversight and ensuring a positive working relationship between employees. Position includes direct engagement with physicians, nurses, and others in the grateful patient program. Also responsible for developing oversight of relationships with corporate prospects and family foundations. Responsible for meeting established performance goals.
- Serves as a role model for the Foundation. Acts as spokesperson for AHGF activities as requested. Participates in search committees, task forces and other special projects. Solves problems, overcomes hurdles, and navigates sensitive issues with discretion, tact and strong communication skills. Develops and maintains productive relationships with physicians and staff to support fundraising initiatives for organization's priorities.

- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
