This role for Fastmarkets, Events sits within Euromoney's Group Event Operations function. We are looking to hire an Event Coordinator who manages the customer service function in the Boston office and assists the Corporate Event Manager with event logistics. The is a permanent role and will report into the Head of Operations for Fastmarkets, Events.

JOB PURPOSE

Assist the end-to-end logistics operations and manage customer service duties for events to ensure that we deliver excellent customer experiences for all event stakeholders.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Customer Service Management via Cvent, Salesforce and Netsuite. Assisting customers with registrations, invoices, payments, queries and general customer service duties.

Assist in sourcing venues for events in line with business requirements

Helping the Corporate Events Manager in sourcing, negotiating and liaising with suppliers for each event including venues, audio-visual, documentation printing, signage, and on-site support staff

Provide sponsors and exhibitors with logistics information and manage their participation

Produce sponsorship collateral to fulfil contractual commitments

Act as point of contact for speakers for all pre-event and onsite logistics

Contribute to regular project meetings for each event to ensure smooth communication within the team and aid the professional delivery of our events to external stakeholders

Assist with event website logistics and event communications

Running the registration desk on-site, assist the project-lead with the event logistics and co-ordinating with the project team to ensure the smooth running of the event

Work with customer service teams across the Group Event Operations pillar on common best practice

Virtual events specifics

Liaising with virtual event suppliers

Assist in the virtual platform built

Provide all participants with best practice guidance for getting the most out of virtual events

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Extremely organised - able to multi-task, work on multiple events at the same time, excellent time management and prioritise while meeting deadlines

Excellent communication skills able to deal with people at all levels, good written communication and confident telephone manner.

Good negotiation skills when procuring services

Adapt quickly to ever changing environments regarding rules, regulations and systems

Good IT skills with knowledge of CRM systems

Process oriented with good attention to detail

Professional manner when dealing with customers

Calm under pressure

EXPERIENCE

Experience of a customer-facing working environment

Event planning experience would be beneficial

International travel may be required, candidate must keep a valid passport.
