This position manages all aspects of insurance and AR follow-up while adhering to HIPAA compliance, privacy, and confidentiality standards.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 3-years previous experience in medical billing or collections

Previous experience in accounts receivable

Knowledge of payer contracting preferred

Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner

Working knowledge of month-end reporting processes

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Ability to prioritize competing demands and multitask required

Professional attitude and teamwork mentality

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Complete follow-up on all outstanding claims monthly

Submission of appeals and denial follow-up for prompt reimbursement

Utilize clearinghouse functions to ensure clean claim submission

Responsible for updating contracts by billing system yearly, as applicable

Submission of end-of-month reports for financial period closing

Prepare agenda for monthly client conference call

Identify and communicate trends directly to client

Conduct weekly meetings with internal team
