Position Summary:

The Customer Account Specialist plays a crucial role in shaping our customers' first impressions. In this dynamic position, you will manage and enhance the customer's experience from start to finish-covering aspects such as delivery, settlement, and payment, along with diligent follow-up. This organized and fast-paced role requires a candidate who excels in service delivery and possesses a proactive, can-do attitude, ensuring satisfaction and efficiency for both internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Customer Account Specialist is pivotal in building professional relationships with clients and managing their business needs. This includes trading, scheduling, purchasing, pricing activities, balance management, and collections. Responsibilities extend to managing all metal trades through the bank's portal, which encompasses initiating transfers, sales, and limit orders. The specialist will also prepare and manage outgoing shipments via UPS or FedEx, and accurately input transaction data and customer communications into our proprietary ERP system and CRM.
  • Candidates must possess a strong understanding of basic accounting principles, with a keen mathematical and problem-solving aptitude. Preparatory work involves the aggregation, organization, and quality control review of scheduled transactions, including analysis of settlements against historical and market trends. The role requires strict adherence to company policies and procedures, effective interdepartmental collaboration, and a proactive approach to seeking information through inquiry.
  • Audit daily account activities to ensure balance accuracy, manage deadlines effectively, and ensure timely follow-through on all account items.
  • Manage and update shared spreadsheets and inboxes.
  • Communicate effectively with all departments both internally and externally.
  • Support the Front Desk Coordinator by serving as a backup during absences, lunch breaks, and other intervals.
  • Additionally, the specialist will perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • 2 to 5 years of related experience in sales, service, and customer service roles is highly valued.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in mathematical abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Tech-savvy, with strong competence in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and effectively multitask.
  • Self-motivated with a positive outlook, excellent time management, and robust organizational skills.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
