Position Overview

The Director of People Insights holds a multifaceted role that extends beyond data-driven solutions to encompass fostering engagement and shaping the culture of Dutch Bros. Responsible for developing human capital and people analytics efforts across the business, this role leverages data to drive decision-making and support talent management, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness. Additionally, the Director of People Insights plays a crucial part in understanding and enhancing employee engagement levels by identifying trends and opportunities to bolster satisfaction and commitment. By analyzing employee behavior, interactions, and sentiment, this role contributes to cultivating a positive organizational culture that encourages collaboration, innovation, and inclusivity. Through strategic initiatives informed by data, the Director of People Insights helps create a workplace environment where employees feel valued, motivated, and empowered to reach their fullest potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transform large amounts of data into compelling visual stories to facilitate analysis and business decision-making, using data visualization tools.
  • Develop and implement understandable human capital and people analytics strategies across business units.
  • Analyze employee behavior, interactions, and sentiment to shape and promote a positive organizational culture.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for improving employee engagement and fostering a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive workplace environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data-driven initiatives and interventions.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in people analytics and organizational culture to continuously improve strategies and approaches.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to senior leadership to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Partner across the People function to develop a standard set of key performance indicators, robust self-service reporting capability and manager dashboards.
  • Provide strategic support to the People function in the areas of people metrics, reporting, and advanced predictive analytic capabilities.
Qualifications
  • Master's Degree or equivalent in relevant HR/Data and Analytics disciplines (e.g. Organizational or Social Science such as IO Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Behavioral Economics, etc., or in a Data Science/Analytics related discipline)
  • 6 years of work experience within the field of Data & Analytics and/or Human Resource Management, with considerable experience in designing and delivering high-impact analytical projects and solutions
  • Track record of partnering with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translating these into effective People Insights initiatives that improve the quality of decision-making
  • Ability to operate in ambiguity and act with autonomy, able to create clarity for self and others when there is complexity and uncertainty
  • Strong interpersonal skills, proven ability to develop highly effective relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Knowledge and understanding of a wide range of analytical systems and technologies, applied to the realm of people and organizational data
  • Ability to tell powerful stories from complex data and concepts which effectively engage others and result in better decision-making

  • Ability to read and write in English in order to process paperwork and follow up on any actions necessary
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as calculators, copy machines, computers, and office equipment


This position is located in the Phoenix, AZ area and is required to be in the office, 4 days per week.
