Empire Coating Inc is currently seeking a Production Inspector to join our team. As a Production Inspector you will play a crucial role in maintaining quality, safety, and productivity through a hands-on approach. Specifically, the role focuses on unmasking (removing protective materials, performing touch-up paint work and packaging finished products. Position Overview

  • Unmasking: Carefully remove masking materials (such as tape, latex and plugs) from parts after painting.
  • Inspection: Inspect unmasked areas for any defects or imperfections.
  • Touch-Up Paint: Apply touch-up paint to correct minor defects (scratches, chips, etc.) in painted finishes. Ensure color matching and consistency.
  • Quality Assurance: Inspect parts thoroughly for adherence to quality standards. Document inspection results, including any rework or corrections needed.
  • Sort Parts: Organize and sort parts as per instructions, ensuring proper categorization and preparation for packing.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inspections and tests, ensuring all data is correctly logged.
  • Packaging: Pack parts securely for shipment, ensuring that packaging materials and methods meet company standards.
  • Administrative Duties: Assist with various administrative tasks, such as updating inventory records, preparing shipping labels, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate and communicate with the Supervisor to address any issues found during inspection.
  • Safety and Compliance: Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow all safety guidelines and protocols.
Qualifications
  • Experience:
    • Experience as a quality control technician or inspector preferred.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects.
    • Technical Skills: Basic math and computer skills, ability to use specialized testing tools and machinery.
    • Problem Solving: Ability to propose effective solutions to improve product quality.
    • Communication Skills: Excellent written and vocal communication skills.
    • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and read technical documents and blueprints.
    • Quality Standards: Ensure all products and parts meet stringent quality standards.
Total Compensation Package:
  • Wage
    • This role is based in the State of New York which requires the disclosure of salary ranges. The expected salary range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00 per hour. Empire Coating Inc provides salary ranges as a good faith estimate of what the company reasonably expects to pay for the position at the time of posting. Compensation offered to a selected candidate may vary based on factors such as (but not limited to) a candidate's job-related qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and geographic location. The expected salary range for this position is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
