Accounting Manager

We are actively searching for a newly created Accounting Manager for our well-established and growing Charleston-leading company. We have an established US brand name for our product lines, and this has helped us grow into the Global Market. The Accounting Manager will support the controller and CFO while being hands-on with all the day-to-day Finance and Accounting functions. You will be in line to take over for the Controller (a lot sooner than later) and supervise a couple of staff Accountants. Note: We don't care what type of Accounting/Finance background/Industry you have, or if you are coming straight from Public Accounting either PLEASE APPLY. This is a Hybrid opportunity, but you must live/relocate within driving distance of our Charleston, SC HQ. Accounting Manager Job Responsibilities Responsible for being hands-on with the day-to-day financials, and managing/mentoring a couple of staff accountants, as well as helping implement standard accounting policies and procedures. Review financial results and work with the CFO to generate strategic initiatives to increase efficiency and improve profitability. Support the use of KPIs and dashboards to facilitate management decisions. Active in developing financial modeling to support growth strategies and enhance margin performance. Support the formal annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes. Review monthly forecasts for feasibility and reasonability. Partner with the CFO to generate the consolidated budget and forecast. Support the preparation of quarterly financial analysis to be presented to leadership. Review accounting records to ensure accuracy in accordance with US GAAP. Ensure consistent implementation of effective internal controls across all accounting departments. Review month-end reconciliations and account-closing processes. Qualifications For The Accounting Manager Professional Communication Skills. Strong financial accounting skills. 3+ years’ experience in an Accounting/Finance role. Strong analytical and financial modeling skills. Experience working with accounting technology, systems, and software. Ability to work well under pressure with tight deadlines while maintaining strong accuracy. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to make recommendations and implement changes required. Strong multitasking, planning, prioritizing, and executing skills are a must.
