We are seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of IT Systems Manager. In this role you are responsible for the oversight of the file servers, virtual Nutanix environment & workstation images. You will also oversee the development, implementation, and management of software and applications that enhance communications and productivity across the company.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
• Associate's degree in computer science or related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in the IT field
• Ability to manage and implement software and server infrastructure
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Ability to troubleshoot software
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Good written, communication and documentation skills
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING
• Support and administer evolving server-based applications; Microsoft servers, operating systems, 0365, Azure infrastructure. Knowledge of Nutanix virtual infrastructure. Firewalls, ethernet switching and wireless services
• Develop specialized tools and applications
• Streamline procedures between departments and offices
• Manage data flows across the WAN
• Work with department managers on budgeting for software or hardware upgrades
• Keep hardware operating properly (Plotters, Printers, etc.)
• Work with departments to standardize software loads, configurations, patches and updates
• Assist CAD Manager on standardizing CAD software loads, configurations, patches and updates.
• Coordinate network procedures for data storage
• Research and implement new technology related to Engineering and CAD
• Coordinate with CAD software managers to maintain updates and ensure that all software works together
• Responsible for annual file archiving procedures
• Configure phone extensions and mailboxes
• Attend conferences as necessary
• Keep abreast of current technologies that can affect overall computer system and pursue continued education and training
• Assist the IT Group Leader with general administrative and management duties as requested
• Establish and enforce company standards and procedures
• Assist with employee orientation related to the company's computer system and policies
