**Functional Safety Manager, Software**

Santa Clara, CA / Engineering Engineering Systems / Full-Time SafeAI is accelerating the transition to autonomy in the mining and construction industries, enabling equipment owners to transform existing machines into self-operating robotic assets. SafeAI is seeking a highly capable Functional Safety Manager, Software to manage the safety engineering processes to meet ISO26262 and related safety standards for autonomous vehicle software.

**Key Responsibilities** ? Responsible for creating and promoting a safety culture ? Develop and deploy safety processes and workflows ? Oversee functional safety architecture and develop safety goals from hazard analysis and risk assessment ? Guide the safety analysis and assessments of safety critical software components ? Create safety goals and requirements for the software deliverables ? Manage the creation and maintenance of safety work products (including FMEA, HARA, FMEDA, HSI and Safety Plan) ? Prepare and conduct safety training for the organization ? Manage and coordinate safety certification activities **Minimum Qualifications** ? BS or MS with 5+ years of experience ? Experience performing hazard analysis and risk assessments ? Experience deriving technical safety requirements from the Functional Safety Concepts, Technical Safety Concepts, and System Architecture Design ? Experience with the development of engineering software and tools for embedded control environments, including AUTOSAR, ASPICE, HIL/SIL test environments, C++ code development, MISRA and other coding guidelines, and related tools and methods ? Expertise in embedded software and Operating Systems ? Working knowledge of C and C++ and software architecture ? Certification in ISO26262 Functional Safety

**Preferred Qualifications** ? Experience in steering, braking and drive-by-wire control systems a plus ? Experience in computer vision and/or machine learning a plus What we offer:
