Job Summary:

The Managed IT Project Engineer reports to the Managed IT Project Manager. The primary roles of the Managed IT Project Engineer are to provide quality project deliverables to our client base based on DEX Imaging's proven methodologies, communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding client projects, and the proper usage of internal systems to efficiently deliver service exceeding client expectations. Lastly, the continued development of oneself through continued education, certifications, and product learning related to DEX Imaging's Managed IT technology stack to help stay relevant in the fast-paced world of technology.

Job Description:

The Project Engineer is responsible for all DEX Imaging work assigned by the Project Manager under the Managed Network Services group for all MNS and hardware projects. A Project Engineer is a hands on technical engineer. Responsible for the setup, configuration and installations of MNS projects. The Project Engineer works to plan projects, establish project criteria, coordinate project reviews, and ensure the proper implementation of project elements within an expected time schedule, scope of work, and client's budget.

Project Engineer Responsibilities:
  • Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring assigned engineering projects.
  • Formulating project parameters and performing on assigned job responsibilities related to client projects
  • Interacting with clients, interpreting their needs and requirements, and representing them in the field
  • Performing quality control tasks on budgets, schedules, plans, and reporting on the project's status back to the Project Manager
  • Cooperating and communicating with the Project Manager and other project participants whole collaborating with Senior Engineers and Technicians to create more efficient project methods and maintain the project's profitability
  • Reviewing the engineering tasks and initiating the necessary corrective actions
  • Developing specifications for the project's needed equipment
  • Creating frameworks to measure the project's metrics and data collection
  • Establishing field test methods and methods for monitoring the quality of those tests
  • Ensuring the project's compliance with the applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications

  • Understand the functionality of ConnectWise Manage, ConnectWise Sell, IT Glue, Continuum, Rapid Fire, and all applications used by DEX Imaging Managed IT's Project Delivery Team as they relate to the Project Engineer's job functions
  • ConnectWise experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
  • This is a full-time position, Monday- Friday, 8 am - 5 pm. This position may require long hours and weekend work to meet deadlines or emergencies. Travel to customer sites as needed
  • Flex remote time is an option, but will be determined on a case-by-case basis and approved by a manager
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to lift or carry up to 50 lbs.
