**Summary** :

The Mortgage Relationship Officer will provide a superior banking experience to mortgage clients via telephone, electronic channels and face-to-face interactions. A successful Mortgage Relationship Officer builds a portfolio of clients through trusted relationship banking by consistently conducting fast, easy, and personal banking transactions and by understanding how each of the Banks products may fulfill evolving client needs. This is a unique opportunity for a highly motivated, results-oriented banking professional to build a service model and help to define relationship banking suite of products that will drive additional deposits for the Bank.

**Principal Accountabilities** **:**

+ Acts as the primary bank liaison to the mortgage client assisting with deposit and home equity needs.

+ Opening and processing new deposit accounts including savings, checking, certificates of deposit and IRAs and new loan accounts including home equity lines and other consumer lending loans.

+ Represent the bank in a positive, courteous and professional manner by promptly greeting each client.

+ Prepare new account paperwork using deposit platform software, receive initial deposits and assist in the signing of documents as necessary to properly open new accounts.

+ Process and close all consumer lending loans.

+ Responsible for ongoing training of instore personnel that are inexperienced with home equity loans.

+ Primary contact for fielding in-store questions in regard to HELOC and Mortgage products.

+ Ensure that efficient, professional, and quality VIP service is delivered through the handling of various financial transactions whether in person or by telephone.

+ Understands and promotes bank products and services; refers clients to other departments as appropriate.

+ Serves as relationship manager for delivery of products and services across departmental and divisional lines.

+ Resolves client inquiries regarding deposit, loan, and treasury management services.

+ Identifies opportunities to deepen client relationships through mastery of Bank products, knowledge of client banking needs, and anticipation of clients future banking needs.

+ Uses discretion and ethical approach when conducting all Bank business.

+ Responsible for processing draw requests for new construction clients.

+ Responsible for support of one-time close product management.

+ Assist in training of MLOs on other consumer products.

+ Understands, embodies, communicates and instills corporate initiatives and vision, including the Six Pillars of Success.

+ Must be able to travel 20% of the time.

+ Maintain client confidentiality.

+ Additional duties as assigned.

+ Regular attendance is required, working at the worksite during regular business hours and/or assigned hours.

**Minimum Qualifications:**

+ Bachelors degree preferred.

+ 5+ years of banking experience preferred.

+ Thorough understanding of retail banking loan and deposit products.

+ Proven track record of exceptional client service.

+ Proven track record of business development skills.

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.

+ Financial services aptitude.

+ High emotional intelligence with proven ability to be a trusted advisor.

+ Proficiency with common computer programs (i.e. Windows, MS Office, email, etc.)

+ Valid drivers license in primary state of residence, valid insurance, and reliable transportation required.

+ Ability to be NMLS licensed and registered.

**Physical Requirements:**

The work environment is typical of standard office and retail banking settings. The position is medium work, exerting up to 35 pounds of force occasionally, and associate sits often, including for client meetings and computer work. Associate will frequently stand or walk throughout different areas of banking center, client businesses, and when conducting outside service activities. Standing and walking may be required for sustained periods of time for moving from one work site to another both inside and outside the banking center and for conducting banking transactions. Travel will be required for outside sales and training activities. Reaching may be required, involving extension of arms in any direction. Office equipment, such as a computer and telephone will be used, requiring the use of hands and fingers to manipulate a keyboard or keypad. Visual ability to read a computer screen or written documents is necessary. Speaking ability to express or exchange ideas; impart oral information to clients, staff, or to the public; or convey detailed or important spoken instructions by means of the spoken word is required. Hearing is necessary to receive detailed information through oral communication.
