Location This position is 100% remote. Employee will work full time remote outside of a WesBanco location (may occasionally attend in person meetings, although all primary functions of the role are performed remotely) Job Description SUMMARY: In this position you will support centralized marketing activities and strategies and provide marketing support to retail banking centers within a designated area. You will work closely with Corporate Marketing staff to integrate pre-developed strategies for WesBanco business lines and retail banking centers. You will provide market-level input to the development of Corporate-wide marketing initiatives and assists in regional implementation of those programs. You will also maintain a thorough/expert knowledge on the designated market(s) environment and performance and develop market specific perspective to inform centralized marketing strategies targeting growth opportunities and/or competitive situations. CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS: Willingness to provide a level of service which will clearly differentiate us from our competitors. INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Professional demeanor in appearance, interpersonal relations, work ethic and attitude. Possess clear, concise, effective written and oral communication skills to effectively express thoughts, ideas and concepts to management, bank employees and bank customers in a collaborative and solutions oriented manner. Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of individuals and/or teams; demonstrate a high level of energy, strong sense of urgency and high quality work standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Marketing Content Creation and Design Using bank-owned and supported graphics, brand standards, collateral guidelines and design software; helps develop and proof marketing materials within an established budget to support line of business efforts. Maintain a current knowledge of bank products and work at a high level of typographical, content, and compliance accuracy. Maintain accurate files of all marketing material and content produced per Bank standards. Local advertising materials may include, but are not limited to: electronic sign copy, newspaper ads, program ads, posters, brochures, flyers, and buck slips. Support with Local Community Events Assist in supplying banking centers with all materials necessary to participate in local community events in a timely manner. Materials may include, but are not limited to: WesBanco auction items and door prizes WesBanco promotional items Custom designed materials (posters, handouts, etc.) Check requests Provide on-site assistance with larger events when required. Participate in civic activities to promote growth and development of the community and a positive image for the bank. Market-Level Marketing Support Serves as the market expert for the designated area on the competitive environment (strengths, weaknesses, local factors, etc.). Attend regional sales and business development meetings for designated areas on a quarterly basis to remain up-to-date on market condition. Determine if products/services presented by external sources may be useful to marketing strategy and make appropriate recommendations to manager. Monitor Monthly Regional Marketing Budget Report to ensure designated areas are staying within parameters. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Banking is a highly regulated industry and you will be expected to acquire and maintain a proficiency in the bank’s policies and procedures, and adhere to all laws, rules and regulations that are applicable to your conduct and the work you will be performing. You will also be expected to complete all assigned compliance training in a timely manner. Assisting with the development and maintenance of direct mail and email programs. Updating marketing metrics to measure effectiveness of marketing tactics. Helping to maintain/update WesBanco’s online presence. Becoming proficient in the use of Marketing Central as a centralized system for managing/tracking marketing projects and initiatives. Assisting in the execution of centralized marketing activities. Administer activities including coordination with legal, compliance, invoicing, budget management and process workflows. Assist in the coordination and execution of ad-hoc marketing requests as defined by manager. Within the marketing department, there will be a variety of marketing activities/projects to work on, with a fast pace set by business priorities, market activity and demands from internal business partners and service partners. Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure. Must have good time management skills and high attention to detail will be vital. Ability to become familiar with business segment strategies, products and services. Ability to produce advertising materials using bank owned and supported software is a plus, including the Adobe suite of graphics programs and the Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
