**We have an opening for a Connected Experiences Solutions Delivery Leader in our Chicago, IL or Grand Rapids, MI office.**

As a member of BISSELLs Digital Strategy team, you will work to enhance existing and create exciting new applications across multiple product lines here at BISSELL. Were looking for people with an entrepreneurial spirit and an interest in creating and testing new ideas to help blaze new paths and lead new strategies on a growing global team. This role will focus on the development and integration of our various solutions that reside in multiple Cloud, SaaS and on-premise offerings with focus on our IoT eco-system of devices. A good portion of the services focus on connected devices and Internet of Things (IoT). Youll work alongside business stakeholders, visual designers, UX architects, technical leads, QA analysts, and application architects in a collaborative environment to iteratively deliver solutions on time and on budget. You will leverage the latest technologies, tools, and frameworks to produce internal and external products. **Responsibilities**

**RUNNING WITH THE BIG DOGS:**

* Lead teams to develop, document and pilot new products/features

* Partners with vendors on collaborative efforts

* Incubate new technologies and frameworks to be adopted across the enterprise including how to best leverage IoT services

* Disseminate knowledge & documentation across the organization

* Maintain current knowledge of technology landscape and emerging developments

* Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and distribute knowledge

* Evangelize innovation and new way of thinking within the organization

* Ability to think generically and pragmatically while implementing solutions

**Qualifications**

**DESIGNED TO SUCCEED:**

* Bachelors degree in Computer Science or similar degree program

* 10+ years of experience with and leading development teams with Application Development using Java and/or Node.JS

* 4+ years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer

* 1+ years of experience with IoT, especially with MQTT

* Experienced leader who has proven experience hiring and building teams

* Experience with AWS IoT Services, SDKs, frameworks and architecture

* Expertise with Mobile and IoT development

* Expertise with Object-Oriented programming

* Understanding and experience of interactive web & mobile technologies JavaScript, CSS and HTML5

* Expertise with databases, relational or NoSQL

* Expertise working with APIs and API Gateways

* Knowledge of Microservices architecture

* Knowledge of DevOps (CI/CD) process and tooling

* Experience troubleshooting application issues

* Experience with AWS or Azure Cloud environments

* Experience with an IDE such as Eclipse or VSCode

* Experience with messaging and eventing technology, MQTT, WebSockets, Kafka, EventHubs, Firehose, Streams

* Experience performing automated Unit Testing and Integration Testing

* Infrastructure experience (Webpack, Docker, Kubernetes, Nginx)

* Strong exposure to collaborative engineering methodologies: agile, code reviews, linting, continuous integration, cloud deployments, etc.

* Experience working in a continuous delivery environment

**EXTRA TREATS:**

* Experience with Git, GitHub and any side projects

* Experience with Azure DevOps

* Experience with Salesforce platform

* React and/or Angular (or similar) framework experience

* Experience with Performance testing

* Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative agile environment

* Aptitude and eagerness to learn

* Great analytical skills

* Good business acumen and sense of urgency to achieve business results
