Job Description

Job Summary

The Event Crew 1 position primarily assist in the setup and breakdown of Biltmore events such as weddings, concerts, exhibitions, corporate events etc. during peak event seasons to help create a world class experience for guests. Duties include, but are not limited to tent installation, equipment delivery and setup, loading and unloading trucks, and warehouse maintenance, and exhibition setup/strike/maintenance. Position may also provide general assistance and support to the department, leadership, and the company as required.

Essential Job Duties

1. Assist with tent Installations/strike.

2. Support the team with equipment setup and delivery such as tables, chairs, stage etc.
3. Loading and unloading trucks.
4. Warehouse maintenance such as organization, top cleaning and repairs.
5. Biltmore Exhibit Installation/Strike/Maintenance such as Biltmore Railways, Illumination, Christmas, etc.
6. Take direction from Managers, Supervisors, Technicians, and support services staff.

Qualifications

1. Previous event set-up/break-down and/or equipment experience preferred.
2. Demonstrated commitment to delivery of world class internal/external guest service.
3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to take direction/receive instruction as part of guest service team.
4. Strong organizational and time management skills; keen attention to detail with focus on quality and service.
5. Takes initiative, exercises good judgment; can prioritize work and adapt as needed.
6. Ability to represent Biltmore in a professional manner with guests and vendors at all times.
7. A high school diploma or equivelent GED is preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements

1. Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry 50 + lbs on regular basis.
2. Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
3. Must be able to deal with outside elements such as wind, rain, snow, and heat.
