What You Are Doing As a Staff Accountant
Execute month-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
Oversee the accounting and tracking of fixed assets, including depreciation schedules and reconciliation of fixed asset accounts.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate recording of fixed asset acquisitions, disposals, and transfers.
Work closely with the manufacturing team to analyze production costs, assess variances, and provide insights to improve cost efficiency.
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for internal and external reporting purposes.
Contribute to the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial analysis and insights to support decision-making.
Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits, providing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the accounting and finance functions.
What You Need As a Staff Accountant
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
2 years of accounting experience.
Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
