Uniform Attendant

    • Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
    • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departments policies/ service procedures/ standards.
    • Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment as only intended.
    • Anticipate guest`s needs.
    • Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
    • Be familiar with all hotel services feature and local attractions/ activities to respond guest`s inquiries accurately.
    • Resolve guests complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
    • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
    • Use cleaning chemicals according to OSHA regulations and hotel requirements.
    • Adhere to all Health department, sanitation and safety regulations.
    • Set up and organize work station with designated supplies and equipment; replenish as needed throughout the shift.
    • Check all pockets of uniforms left by employee and return them in an envelope to Lost Prevention.
    • Separate all soiled uniforms, and place all other items in the proper containers.
    • Sort all stained/damaged uniforms and determine status for rewash or discard; maintain continuous inventory of discards uniforms.
    • Remove all debris on floor after every sorting of uniforms.
    • Notify supervisor of supplies need for the department.
    • Any damage to a uniform must be reported before processing.
    • Become completely familiar with the laundry procedure.
    • Must know how to operate equipment such as, steam tunnel and presser.
    • Help with the issuing of uniforms.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Complete inventory of stock as assigned.
  • Work with chemicals and machine repair personnel to repair machines, improve quality or standards, increase productivity or capacity of machines.
  • Ensure that equipment receives periodic preventive maintenance.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED Preferred
  • Previous experience in similar position.
  • Knowledge of Laundry and Dry Cleaning equipment.
  • Knowledge of finishing techniques for all types of fabrics.
  • Previous guests relations training.

Compensation

Base Pay Start Rate: $20.60
