As a vital member of our team, the Dining Room Attendant plays a crucial role in ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests. This position involves a variety of responsibilities that contribute to the overall ambiance and efficiency of the restaurant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and organize the dining area in accordance with Terranea's standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant.
- Set up essential items such as trash receptacles, beverages, and dining utensils at the beginning of each shift.
- Ensure that all workspaces, including dishware and glassware, are kept clean and orderly throughout service.
- Respond to guest requests for specific setups, such as heat lamps or umbrellas.
- Complete end-of-shift tasks, including restocking supplies and securing the dining area.
- Present a polished and professional appearance in line with company standards.
- Proactively address and fulfill guest service needs.
- Communicate effectively with team members and guests using clear and professional language.
- Adhere to quality standards and expectations consistently.
- Serve food and beverages to guests with attention to detail.
- Prepare tables according to established service protocols.
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests in alignment with company standards.
- Assist in food delivery and table clearing as needed.
- Foster positive relationships with colleagues to achieve shared goals.
- Handle physical tasks such as lifting and moving items weighing up to 20 pounds.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Follow departmental policies and procedures diligently.
- Communicate effectively with all staff members, including management and front-of-house personnel.
- Maintain cleanliness in both personal work areas and the broader restaurant environment.
- Adhere to grooming and uniform standards as outlined by company policy.

Qualifications:
- High School diploma preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, with knowledge of fine dining practices.
- Energetic and motivated individual with a passion for service.
- Proficient in English, with the ability to read, write, and comprehend effectively.
- Capability to implement and maintain service standards.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Able to interact positively with guests and team members.
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure situations.
- Willingness to stand or walk for extended periods.

Experience and Availability:
- Preferred experience in fine dining settings.
- Open availability is essential.
Compensation:
Starting base pay of $16 per hour, plus tips.
