Key Responsibilities Key Responsibilities MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB The Senior Director, HRBP (US) acts as the most senior HR point of contact for the US business and senior leaders (including CEO, CFO and Head of R&D) and deputises for the CHRO as required. They will work globally with the HR Centres of Excellence and will be accountable for leading the delivery of the HR strategy and plan for the Development and Commercial business units globally. They will partner with the allocated areas of the business as the HRBP, ensuring that organisation designs and changes to structures support the strategic direction of the business. They will provide people leaders with proactive advice, guidance, and support across the full range of HR activities to enhance employee engagement and performance through a variety of creative and globally aligned people strategies. They will play a key leadership role in HR, bringing strategic HR thought-leadership and actively driving the development and capability growth of the HR function. They will actively contribute, promote, and lead by example on the global Diversity, Equity and Inclusion agenda. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure a deep understanding of the organisation and its business strategy. To contribute and partner as part of aligned senior business leadership teams. Support the business to drive organizational and cultural change, aligned with overall business strategy. Deliver HR partnership to senior leaders and managers through workforce planning, talent management, employee engagement plans, performance management, employee relations and other HR processes and policies to support business priorities, and the translating and implementation of the HR strategy. Work closely with the business to drive adoption, compliance and engagement with the HR policies, procedures, and systems. Develop, deliver and maintain a continuous professional standard of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion across the organisation. Manage large cross entity or location projects that change and improve services and systems including HR led and strategic business projects. Bring HR expertise to interpret and apply employment laws, explaining legal considerations explicitly and clearly to employees and management to ensure compliance with legal obligations and appropriate management of people issues. Oversee responses to US employee relations queries and conduct, managing the investigation of complaints and concerns, involving (as required) legal and business stakeholders to ensure appropriate action is taken. When requested, and for critical roles, conduct competency-based interviews, assessing behaviours and competency levels to select the right candidate for the role. Support the roll-out of L&D initiatives, including on-line digital platforms, and implement tools and processes for talent development to meet the needs of the business, ensuring that internal talent is actively managed, developed, retained, and engaged. Working closely with the Global Total Rewards team, ensure alignment to the Immunocore compensation philosophy and frameworks Use change management and user adoption techniques to drive desired outcomes. Proactively use data, metrics, and evidence to drive decision-making and change. Work closely and collaboratively with HR Centres of Excellence, supporting the delivery of HR projects as required. Provide training and coaching to senior leaders and managers to develop their leadership and to ensure effective application of HR processes and tools. Act as US HR sites lead. Deputise for the CHRO as required.
