The Operator will report to the Superintendent and work closely with and support the operations team, interact with a variety of staff at all levels and uphold a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. The Tully Group is one of the nation's largest privately held, family-owned construction firms with their corporate office in New York City and long history of heavy civil projects in the Metro New York Area and New Jersey.Safety is our TOP priority Thalle offers a competitive salary package with a full range of benefits, including Major Medical, Dental, Vision, Short and Long-Term Disability, generous PTO, paid company holidays, Life Insurance, 401K with a company match, and more Compensation is based on experience and qualifications.Thalle is an Equal Opportunity Employer, E-Verify user, and Drug Free Workplace.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Operate machinery under general supervision.Start engines, move throttles, switches, or levers, or depress pedals to operate machines according to written, verbal, or signal instructions.Take actions to avoid potential hazards or obstructions, such as utility lines, other equipment, or other workers.Inspect and adjust machinery for safety issues daily.Clean, repair, and maintain mechanisms as needed.Determine if any parts are malfunctioning.Complete job tickets, service quality summaries, and all other necessary paperwork.Review work schedule or special loading instructions.Lift, position and place machinery, equipment or other large objects at construction sites and industrial facilities.Conduct work with 100% integrity and professionalism.Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not mandatory.Ability to receive written or oral instructions.Establish and maintain effective working relationship with office and field personnel.Must be committed to contributing to a culture of safety, looking out for yourself and others.Physical Requirements:Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.Work long shifts.Work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the elements.Must have good hand-eye coordination, quick reaction times.Able to wear a hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, and safety-toed boots.Able to walk moderate distances to reach work area up to 1/2 mile.Able to enter the cab of a vehicle that is 3.5 feet (or more) off the ground.Able to safely operate the equipment (if authorized for that piece of equipment).Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone.Able to pass a pre-employment drug screenThalle is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
