**Description**

The Supply Chain Manager (SCM) strategically oversees the supply chain cycle for Food, Packaging, and Service-related initiatives at the lowest total cost and leverages best-in-class systems and processes to grow the Amy's Drive-Thru business. The SCM oversees day-to-day management of distribution issues (ie: service levels, new items, product issues, and restaurant ordering and delivery issues). The SCM leads the effective, efficient, and timely selection, procurement, distribution, and manages direct sourcing, contracting, cost controls, and inventory management for all products. The SCM is responsible for managing relationships with all external suppliers and distributors, ensuring compliance with service, quality, and price specifications. The SCM will need to think creatively and challenge the status quo processes while upholding the highest level of integrity and compliance. The SCM will lead Supply Chain operational activities, including leading and meeting established metrics of the process, qualification and approval of new supplier(s). The SCM will also work effectively with Cross Functional Departments at Amys Kitchen and Drive Thru support to ensure compliance and meet business goals and strategies.

**A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE**

* Develops strategic (short and long term) and operational plans for Amys Drive-Thru related to supplier diversity, sustainable sourcing, technology, and procurement projects.

* Communicates and educates the team on changes in policies and practices within the organization, monitors effectiveness, and provides direction on restaurant-level purchasing & inventory optimization

* Identify opportunities to enhance value and reduce costs in the supply chain process. Manage product savings initiatives in line with profit plan and overall business objectives.

* Develops vendor relationships with current suppliers and any future suppliers and are accountable for supplier relationships and performance management

* Ensure compliance to all contractual obligations with suppliers that are aligned with Amy's Kitchen expectations

* Leads Quality Assurance team members in the conduct of supplier product quality assurance audits to ensure vendor/partners meet all established QA standards.

* Develops, advocates, and implements sourcing and negotiation strategies for key spend areas to achieve short and long-term savings targets while ensuring the highest quality products.

* Develops and executes comprehensive product sourcing and development strategies and contracting programs for top spend areas to achieve short and long-term savings targets while ensuring highest product quality and availability

* Continuously search for alternative supply options by understanding the markets, fighting to lower and maintain costs

* Develops, implements and continuously refines product demand planning, customer service, procurement, supplier/distributor management and logistics

* Oversees forecasting, inventory management and supplier capacity management to ensure optimum and cost-effective product availability

* Create and manage RFP process for logistics and distribution partners, including awarding business, implementation and internal change management.

* Assesses, manages and mitigates food-related risks through routine oversight of proper supply chain channels

* Interface with the internal stakeholders, understand their needs, and initiate and manage specific projects that are executed timely to meet company objectives with an emphasis on the improvement of productivity and efficiency

* Support the Amy's Kitchen forecasting team to meet the needs of the Amys Drive Thru brand

* Communicates and regularly consults within cross-functional departments on key metrics and progress against strategic initiatives and preparedness for growth.

* Partner and collaborate with Amy's Kitchen Culinary and Operations leadership on identification, sourcing, development, testing and roll-out of profitable and cost-effective new menu items and ingredients, including product enhancement, optimization and innovation recommendations

* Collaborates with Finance to model impact of commodities inflation outlook on store financial metrics for budget and forecast processes

* Build and manage metrics to identify systemic logistics issues and utilize root cause analysis to drive improvement.

* Evaluate and manage Ctuit and other software systems that enhance Supply Chain productivity and capabilities

* Supports the implementation of company programs to ensure the success of Amy's Drive Thru

* Analyze economic trends that may affect both short term and long term purchasing and anticipate factors such as changes in the market or industry that could affect the above categories.

* Assesses risk and communicates recommended mitigation strategies to senior leadership team, with a focus on identifying multiple sources for higher-risk, single-sourced products

**EDUCATION**

* Bachelor degree in business, supply chain, management, food technology/science desirable or equivalent combination of education and experience.

**EXPERIENCE**

* Minimum of five years professional experience in Supply Chain and/or Strategic Sourcing and procurement with a track record of meeting and exceeding assigned goals and objectives

* Demonstrated experience in the management of supplier relationships and negotiating statements of work (SOWs) and service level agreements (SLAs)

* Category management experience in a procurement department. Strong negotiation and cost-saving skills, and a demonstrated process improvement background.

* Demonstrated success in identifying and synthesizing needs into a concise, clear and influential presentation, focusing on consistent and concise message delivery.

* Experience with Point-of-Sale System support (specifically CTuit) a plus.

* Previous Restaurant industry knowledge and experience in purchasing and distribution preferred

**TRAVEL**

Travel will include visiting the Drive-Thru locations, plants, etc.

**LOCATION**

This position can be a remote opportunity with the ability to visit Amy's Drive Thru restaurants as needed. #LI-Remote
