Bradford Shawsheen Coating Technologies seeks an experienced Process Engineer to join their team in Lowell, Massachusetts. As a Process Engineer, you will work closely with Manufacturing, R&D, Quality, Purchasing & suppliers to apply knowledge of engineering principles and practices to identify root causes to problems and implement corrective actions. You will help to drive the company towards operational excellence and may also communicate with customers on corrective actions to quality issues.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify, recommend, manage, document, and direct manufacturing process improvements
- Identify and implement process conditions and corresponding machine parameter settings to maximize product quality and productivity
- Conceptualize, define, propose, and manage the execution of capital expenditure projects to meet company objectives
- Coordinate and work with R&D on new product development and commercialization
- Document, organize, analyze, and report information for manufacturing activities on a regular basis
- Follow daily operation of the production processes throughout the facility by getting directly involved in observing, evaluating, recording, and reporting problems as well as making comprehensive recommendations for corrective actions
- Provide on-going interpretation and trend analysis of process quality control data to insure process stability and consistency
- Work with administrative and manufacturing staff to resolve any issues or concerns that may arise
- Follow all safety and environmental rules, requirements, and procedures as established in the facility
- Other duties as necessary

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
- 3 or more years of manufacturing experience is required; 5 -10 years preferred.
- Experience with web handling, coating, polymers or film strongly preferred.
- Experience in Automotive Market
- Green/brown/black belt certification
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or TS 16949.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills.
