Added - 11/14/24 Product Marketing Manager Marketing/Branding San Francisco , CA | Freelance Product Marketing Manager The Sage Group’s client is seeking a Product Marketing Manager to join their Enterprise & Migrations marketing team. Your role will be to develop and implement marketing strategies and programs around migration tooling and trust in our ecosystem. You will help influence the product roadmap by bringing market and customer insights to R&D while also creating technical content and working closely with teams like Solution Engineers, Solution Architects, and Engineering. Responsibilities: You have 3-5+ years of B2B product marketing experience. It is preferred if you also have a background in product marketing, solutions engineering, technical writing, customer success, or product management, ideally at a technology company, or have an aptitude for understanding and ramping on new technologies. You can translate complex technical topics into simplified marketing campaigns for diverse technical and non-technical audiences. You have been responsible for creating, driving, and managing go-to-market plans and owning a product's core messaging and positioning. You're a passionate, self-starter with a no-bullshit, can-do attitude. You're eager to jump in and get things done but don't get flustered in a fast-paced and often changing environment. An ideal candidate will be able to: Understand or have previously marketed to a technical audience, security & compliance products or be responsible for platform marketing. Use customer, market, and competitive insights to influence product strategy and drive effective messaging. Be a storyteller with the creativity and writing skills to communicate technical topics with authenticity. Partner with Product Management to shape product strategy and develop the go-to-market vision for our enterprise & migrations business. Work with product, security, risk & compliance, legal & privacy teams in prior roles. Easily navigate cross-functional teams and dependencies. Define and deliver technical product marketing deliverables, including product and solution demos, videos, presentations, competitive analyses, ROI analyses, technical whitepapers, and enablement material. Day to Day: You will help influence the product roadmap by bringing marketing and customer insights to R&D while also creating technical content and working closely with teams like Solution Engineers, Solution Architects, and Engineering. Years of experience: You have 3-5+ years of B2B product marketing experience. Top 3 tech skills: Worked with product, security, risk & compliance, legal & privacy teams in prior roles. Experience defining and delivering technical product marketing deliverables, including product and solution demos, videos, presentations, competitive analyses, ROI analyses, technical whitepapers, and enablement material. Top 3 soft skills: You are a storyteller with the creativity and writing skills to communicate technical topics with authenticity. Understanding or previously marketed to a technical audience, security & compliance products or responsible for platform marketing. You can easily navigate cross-functional teams and dependencies.
