A well-qualified candidate will be professional, organized, and adaptable, with experience working and communicating with senior military and civilian personnel. Close familiarity with and/or prior work experience in Army acquisition program offices is desired. Essential Functions: The Operations Specialist will exhibit project leadership, project management, and technical support in the creation, management, and sustainment of a methodical approach to increasing quality and performance throughout all operations areas in support of PdM WESS. Duties include maintaining status of daily operations and activities, preparing plans and orders, prioritizing resources, recommending task organization, risk identification, analysis and management, and publishing Standard of Procedures. Assign, distribute, and monitor all internal and external taskings as assigned through the Task Management Tracker or other methods Conduct a thorough analysis of the action and conduct through assessments of supporting and background information Review/proofread for format, grammar and spelling, and coordinate staff Staff documents within the organization Ensure documents are properly packaged prior to submission Ensure timely completion of staffing actions Meet assigned suspense dates in order to allow approving officials a reasonable amount of time for review or signature Manage/Assist with the following: In-processing, on-boarding, and out-processing of assigned PdM WESS Government, Military, and Support Contractor personnel Accountability of personnel-Daily Report Recall All Roster Organization Chart Internal Control Process Mandatory Training Staff Call Activities Operation-Short/Long Range Calendars Provide guidance and assistance on the following: Quarterly Program Review activities Performance Management Review activities External/VIP Briefing Packages Execution Program Baselines Project Status Reviews Travel Requirements

0 - 10% Salary Grade Job Requirements A Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Information Technology is required A minimum of four (4) years’ directly-related experience in operations or program office support is required and strongly preferred to be in a Military O-5 level staff office or higher Must have high quality writing skills Must have familiarity with AR 25-50 (Preparing and Managing Army Correspondence) Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills Must present a professional appearance appropriate for interacting with senior-level officials Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must currently hold and be able to maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location. Work is based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions.
