Contractor - Senior Accountant
Job Description:
You'll play a crucial role in financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance. This position involves diverse responsibilities, including monthly close activities, financial statement preparation, SOX compliance, and process transformation. This role requires 4 days at the office.
Responsibilities:
- Execute accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures for critical balance sheet and income statement accounts.
- Manage accounting for construction in process, fixed assets, leases, prepaid expenses, intangibles, and accruals.
- Apply GAAP and internal accounting policies, documenting interpretations and conclusions.
- Leverage expertise in ASC 842 lease accounting.
Requirements:
- Minimum five years of experience in a publicly traded company or CPA firm.
- Familiarity with fixed assets and ASC 842 lease accounting (preferred).
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- CPA designation (completed or in progress, preferred).
Compensation:
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure: $60 - $70per hour.
