Job Description

Responsibilities:

Management
  • Oversee onboarding and daily operations of analysts, ensuring success in team member learning and output
  • Mentor and coach teams on trends and methodologies of strategy, planning, and analytics
  • Partner with the Director of Planning to prioritize and assign work of the department, ensuring work is completed within a timely manner
  • Manage external vendor / contracted resources and relationships
  • Collaborate with hospital, service line, physician enterprise, and corporate leadership to develop aligned approaches and solutions to business questions
Strategy & Planning
  • Gather, aggregate, and interpret various internal and external data sets to inform strategic decision making based on enterprise performance, market intelligence (including but not limited to geodemographic, patient and physician market share, and professional and facility claims, industry forecasting)
  • Assess utilization patterns to provide actionable data informing business development integration efforts
  • Evaluate physician market supply and demand to support data-driven physician recruitment planning
  • Support master facility plan development, including current and forecasted capacity analysis
Analytics
  • Maintain relational databases and dashboards of hospital and service line patient utilization, physician billing, claims, physician supply, census, social determinate, and provider activity data
  • Ensure planning-built analytics are accurately represented, understood, and interpreted by users
  • Expert use of dashboards, spreadsheets, graphics, mapping applications and database software with the ability to join elements from multiple sources
  • Ability to learn new software or data tools independently, as needed
Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • Ability to work independently leadership at an advanced professional level
  • Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Production of high-quality output that is complete, accurate and suitable for distribution across all levels in the organization
  • Ability to communicate complex data clearly, concisely, and accurately in both written and oral form; provide written analyses to include summary of data and strategic recommendations
  • Understanding of planning and market trends and intelligence
  • Master's degree in Business or Healthcare Administration or bachelor's degree with 5 to 7 years demonstrated industry experience and knowledge
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced work environment
