KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Support the Financial Planning & Analysis team in the preparation of deliverables related to financial statements and expense evaluations.

+ Act as a trusted Finance Business Partner to Corporate Function leaders by providing detailed expense insights, tracking essential metrics, and assisting in analyses that support strategic business decisions.

+ Oversee the planning and forecasting process for various Corporate Functions, collaborating with the executive management team to deliver comprehensive expense budgets.

+ Conduct expense variance analyses comparing planned versus actual results, identifying drivers of variances for monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reporting. Categorize group expenses for analytical purposes.

+ Assist in maintaining and updating the corporate financial model (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow) in Excel and Anaplan, including the quarterly import of actual results.

+ Build and maintain quarterly financial statements and metrics for earnings preparation.

+ Prepare expense and headcount data for uploads into financial systems.

+ Manage monthly expense accruals for Corporate Functions.

+ Provide regular quarterly and monthly reports on various firm initiatives.

+ Collaborate with accounts payable to enhance expense coding and streamline the monthly expense closing process.

+ Demonstrate interest in learning the Anaplan financial planning tool and developing financial models.

+ Additional deliverables and projects may arise, including ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required by the business.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

+ Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, business, or related fields.

+ At least 5 years of experience in reporting, analysis, and finance systems.

+ Knowledge of the (re)insurance industry and understanding of key performance indicators is advantageous.

+ Strong proficiency in Excel; experience with Anaplan, Hyperion, and a demonstrated ability to learn new financial systems is a plus.

+ Familiarity with financial statements and GAAP accounting.

+ Exceptional attention to detail along with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

+ Highly motivated, confident, inquisitive, and adaptable.

+ Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deliverables under tight deadlines.

+ Experience in business partnering is beneficial, along with the capability to work cross-functionally with all levels of management.
