Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geotechnical engineering, with experience in quality control, retaining walls, coffer cells, seawalls, and piles. This role involves working on private projects including large land tracts, high rises, and subdivisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct geotechnical investigations and assessments for various projects.
- Design and oversee the construction of retaining walls, coffer cells, seawalls, and piles.
- Ensure quality control throughout project lifecycles.
- Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet client specifications, budget, and timelines.
- Write detailed proposals and technical reports.
- Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
- Perform both in-office design work and outside field work as required.
- Demonstrate flexibility and interest in working on a variety of projects.
- Collaborate with the client team to develop new business opportunities based on your unique skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred; Engineer-in-Training (EIT) will be considered.
- Proven experience in geotechnical engineering, particularly in quality control and construction of retaining walls, coffer cells, seawalls, and piles.
- Strong project management skills.
- Excellent proposal writing and technical report writing skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Interest in working on varied projects.
